Elders Update March 2020
Following latest Public Health England advice, we have decided to suspend meetings at Bagley for the time being. We are looking into creating some form of online content and will update on this when we know more. We would encourage you to sign up to the Bagley Baptist Church Facebook page if you not already done so as we may well use this for our online content.
We will pause home groups but leave it to individuals to decide whether they would like to meet in small groups to pray and fellowship.
If there are any further changes then we will update you via email and the church website.
If you do need to self-isolate or are unwell or in need then please let us know via email@example.com so that we can stay in touch and offer support. For those of us who are well, there is a real opportunity to demonstrate God’s love by offering support to your neighbours or Bagley family. It is also important to support your local or our Bagley food bank if you are able to do so.
This is a very important time to pray. We are encouraging everyone to pray at one or all of these times each day 8am, 12pm, 4pm or 8pm. We have attached a prayer outline that you might like to use to guide your prayers. https://mcusercontent.com/ca8b76770cc79fe6acfbcf743/files/2da66069-582e-4045-9158-1b3dc9337f34/An_Hour_of_Prayer_for_the_Coronavirus_Pandemic.pdf
We have created a Bagley YouTube Channel
We hope to do a live stream at 10.30am this Sunday and also upload some other short videos.
There have also been some prophecies from about a year ago that seem relevant for this time and which you may like to pray into. Please click here for Chuck Pierce’s prophecy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Hn9DLmHh60 .
This is one from Paul Harrison who lead our Prayer Ministry training: “The time of shaking of the nations that I, the Lord, prophesied through my faithful prophets is now upon us. My children do not be afraid. This shaking will intensify and the uncertainty and distress will increase. My children do not be afraid. There will be confusion and conflict – hardship and persecution will increase. My children do not be afraid. Draw close to me and put your trust completely in Me, Yahweh. Through you I want to show the world around you MY LOVE. Reach out to those around you as they are seeking. Speak boldly, love unconditionally, give generously and trust me for all you need. Do not be afraid. Be bold in my Name”
In all this, we must fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith. (Hebrews 12:1)
“But now, O Jacob, listen to the Lord who created you.
O Israel, the one who formed you says,
“Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you.
I have called you by name; you are mine.
When you go through deep waters,
I will be with you.
When you go through rivers of difficulty,
you will not drown.
When you walk through the fire of oppression,
you will not be burned up;
the flames will not consume you.
For I am the Lord, your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.” Isaiah 43: 1-3
