Fathers’ Day

For many years, churches across the Cheddar Valley got together to celebrate Fathers’ Day with an all-day event at Kings of Wessex School in Cheddar. The day included cake stalls, tea and coffee tent, meat and veggie barbecues, ‘the wall’, ‘splat the rat’, space hopper races, bouncy castles, various exhibits, stands and stalls, musical interludes with live bands, and puppet shows to name but a few.
This was an open air day for the whole community and everything was free! Currently, we aren’t holding Fathers’ Day events, but one day we might do it again – it was fun!
